Top Takeaways:

  • Watch your body language! Stay alert, make sure your posture is good and that you keep eye contact with the interviewer.
  • How you dress for your interview depends on the type of job you’re going for. Creative roles will often demand more casual attire. More corporate roles will require you to wear a sharp business suit. But when going for an interview it’s always important to dress to impress.
  • Watch how you speak. Do your research before the interview. Know the vital statistics about the company you’re interviewing with. Prepare for questions the may ask about your skills by selecting relevant examples from your career to back up your claims. Never talk negatively about your current or you past employers. The interviewer will assume if you speak about other employers that way, you will start talking about their company like that eventually too. You need to convey ultimate professionalism during an interview.
  • Don’t use your phone in an interview. Ever.
