- Working with smart, friendly and helpful co-workers was the most commonly cited reason for employees being happy in their company. It would suggest that community and community spirit is an extremely important aspect of company culture in the eyes of employees everywhere.
- Opportunities to progress and grow as a person and a professional were also mentioned frequently. Employees who felt the opportunity for them to progress within the company was available, said they were more motivated to work harder.
- Being valued and cared about by their employer was mentioned by numerous respondents. “Flexible working hours“, a good “benefits package” and little “perks“, were all cited as ways employees believed their company showed them they were valued.
- An honest/transparent company that gives back to both their employees and the wider community is of high importance to employees, according to talent management technology reviewer Software Advice’s research, so investing in a strong employer brand is imperative to the happiness of both your current employees and potential employees.
